Well, its finished 
i think it turned out quite nice, learned a lot of new things on this one and had a lot of fun modelling
while doing my daily stroll through the stills forum of cgsociety i stumbled upon the following:

its getting somewhere now, still some more stuff to do
After the last tutorial i decided i wanted to have another go at creating an orc
to help me with my endeavours i decided to treat myself to a drawing tablet. i went out and purchased a wacom bamboo pen tablet today
god i wish i did that sooner so much more feeling when sculpting in blender

Another nice tutorial from blenderguru.com, how to make realistic grass. i had some issues with this one as the tutorial was done in blender 2.49 and im using 2.56a
but i think it turned out quite nice
